0% of zakat is used for administration, operations or marketing. Those costs are covered by non-zakat funds such as general donations, sponsorships and grants.
Verified recipients

Who receives your zakat
Our primary focus is the poor (al-fuqara’), the needy (al-masakin), those in debt (al-gharimun), refugees and displaced people, and individuals facing financial hardship. Zakat is given as financial aid, essential household items, food or other direct support.
Why give locally?
Many scholars hold that your own community should be served first. Zakat given nearby is easier to verify, reaches recipients faster, and supports families in your own city.
