House of Sadaqa hosts workplace teams, school groups, university societies and community organisations for group volunteering at our Revesby warehouse in Sydney. The work is hands-on, immediately useful, and suits groups because it scales.
What groups actually do
- Sorting and packing. Processing donated goods and assembling essentials packs for families. This is the core of it and works well for almost any group size.
- Preparing outreach items. Packing clothing, sleeping bags and winter essentials for Clothe the Homeless runs.
- Warehouse organisation. Practical work that keeps the operation running.
- Event support. Helping run community events and campaigns during the year.
We will be straight with you: this is real work, not a staged activity built for corporate visitors. That tends to be why people enjoy it.
Why it works better than most team days
The feedback we get most often is that the impact is visible. A team can see the pallet they cleared or count the packs they built, and know those go to specific families that week. It is more concrete than most volunteering, and considerably more concrete than a trust exercise.

- Group size. We have hosted groups of various sizes. Tell us your numbers and we will confirm what we can accommodate on a given day.
- What to wear. Closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty.
- Age. Most warehouse work suits 18 and over. Younger groups can sometimes be accommodated with supervision, so ask.
- Notice. The more warning you give, the better we can plan meaningful work rather than inventing tasks.
