Hardship can arrive quietly. A relationship breaks down, a job is lost, a family leaves an unsafe home with nothing but a few bags. When a family reaches that point, practical help at the right moment can change everything. That is what the House of Sadaqa Family Support Program exists to do.
What the Family Support Program provides
The Family Support Program helps local families in crisis with the essentials they need to restart a home. That can mean whitegoods like a fridge or washing machine, furniture, household basics, and emergency relief for families dealing with financial hardship, family breakdown, family and domestic violence, or homelessness. The focus is simple and deliberate: we do one thing well, supporting struggling families in our own community.
Who it is for
The program is for families and individuals across Sydney who are facing genuine hardship. Because demand is high, support is assessed case by case, and referrals help us reach the families who need it most.
How referrals work
The Family Support Program is referral-based. A caseworker, community organisation, or trusted referrer submits a referral on a family’s behalf, our team reviews it, and we arrange support where we can. This keeps the process dignified and makes sure help reaches genuine need.
