House of Sadaqa is based at 6/60 Marigold Street, Revesby, with a Goodwill Shop in Bankstown and a laundromat nearby. Canterbury-Bankstown is where our warehouse, shops and much of our support work sit, though families across Sydney are helped through the Family Support Program.

Why this area
Canterbury-Bankstown is one of Sydney’s most culturally diverse areas, with a large Muslim community and significant pockets of financial pressure. It is also where the organisation’s own community is, which matters. Being embedded locally means referrals arrive through people who know the families involved rather than through a distant intake process.
What we do here
- Family Support Program. Whitegoods, furniture and household essentials delivered to families in crisis.
- Op-shops. Affordable clothing and homewares for local households, funding the charity.
- Volunteering and WDO. Warehouse shifts, including Work and Development Orders for people clearing Revenue NSW fines.
- Youth work. The Ansar Youth Program for young men in the area.
- Outreach. Monthly Clothe the Homeless runs into the city.

Being local makes it easy. Volunteer a few hours at the Revesby warehouse, drop off good quality donations, shop at the op-shop, or use the laundromat. Each of those supports the work without requiring a donation.
